The KD Plastering commitment:

Here at KD Plastering, we care about the environment and are aware that thing's need to change...

We are a Gloucestershire based plastering trades contractor who believes in a quality-finished product. This is achieved by a team of people who strive to continually improve the way we go about our business. In line with our customers expectations we will support endeavours to raise standards of workmanship and practice in the industry. To this end, we believe in the value of trained and qualified workforce.

Protection of the environment in which we live and operate is part of KD Plastering's values and principles and we consider it to be sound business practice. Care for the environment is one of our key responsibilities and an important part of the way in which we do business.

In this policy statement we commit our company to:

• ·     Complying with all relevant environmental legislation, regulations and approved codes of practice;

  ·     Protecting the environment by striving to prevent and minimize our contribution to pollution of land, air and water

  ·     Seeking to keep wastage to a minimum and maximize the efficient use of materials and resources

  ·     Managing and disposing of all waste in a responsible manner;

  ·     Providing training for our staff so that we all work in accordance with this policy and within an environmentally aware culture,

  ·     Regularly communicating our environmental performance to our employees and other significant stakeholders;

  ·     Developing our management processes to ensure that environmental factors are considered during planning and implementation

  ·     Monitoring and continuously improving our environmental performance.

The policy statement will be regularly reviewed and update as necessary. The management endorses these policy statements and is fully committed to their implementation

Now, instead of just throwing away used plasterboard like your average Joe & leaving it for the landfill to think about, we are now recycling 100% of it! We manage our waste by bagging up all of our plasterboard waste and send it off to be recycled through a well know company called

We also now have six seater vans so we can turn up on time, together and reduce our carbon footprint!
You might ask how this reduces our carbon footprint? Well, before when we had a big contract all our craftsmen would turn up at HQ & then drive to site using our normal vans which could entail upto three vans just to transport six people & their equipment.
Now we have introduced new six seater vans to transport our craftsmen with their tools togeather from HQ. This not only ensures that all of our team turn up together, we will be on time and reduce our carbon footprint!
